About OwnDocs

OwnDocs is a self-hosted documentation platform: MDX and Markdown authoring, full-text search, theming, versioning, an OpenAPI embed, an MCP server, AI chat (bring your own key), and reader feedback, all in one Next.js codebase you can read, extend, and deploy yourself.

It is sold once, not rented. The source license includes the full source code, the right to white-label it, and every Version 1 update for life; a resale license adds the right to resell OwnDocs to your own customers. There is no subscription, no seat count, and no usage meter.

OwnDocs is built by DevOps, based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Support runs in Bangla and English.
